Axie Infinity: Origin / Axie Battles v3 Free-to-play Game
The long-awaited popular play-to-earn game Axie Infinity new version launch is finally here! Starting from 7th of April, Axie Infinity: Origin or Axie Battles v3 Alpha testing is out for all the PC players. Sky Mavis, the developer said all existing Axie accounts and relative beginners are welcomed to explore the new Axie ecosystem including brand new interfaces, sophisticated game mechanics, special effects, graphics, storylines and expansive onboarding experience.
To be more approachable for the audience, this Alpha testing has been built as a free-to-play game. The new in-game mechanics provide 3 free starter Axies so that new players have a chance to try out before investing in the non-fungible token (NFT) Axies. For now, there’s only a Mavis Hub desktop version for the Alpha testing but the release of a mobile version is foreseeable in the future.
Reward System for Alpha Phase
Existing players and new players should be acknowledged that Origin during Alpha Testing phase is still in the early access stage, so there’ll be no Smooth Love Potion (SLP) token or any other monetary rewards available.
During this Alpha testing, players are welcomed to provide valuable customer feedback which allow Sky Mavis to further refine the game ahead of launch of the Season 0. When the update of the full formal game launch officially releases, all Trainer progress and resources earned during the Alpha window will be reset from Trainer accounts.
How to join Axie Origin v3 Early Access
There’s a slight difference for the steps taken between existing Axie players and beginners (who don’t own NFT Axies).
For Existing Axie Players
Step 1: Login into Mavis Hub Account
- Use the email and password that you are using previously for Mavis Hub.
Step 2: Installation of Axie Infinity: Origin
- Click on the install Axie Infinity: Origin button on the left side of Mavis Hub
Step 3: Create A New Sky Mavis Account
- Use the email and password that you are using for Mavis Hub to login.
- Once logged in, there will be a prompt which asks you to create an account. Click on OK and add your new username
Step 4: Sync Personal NFT Axies
- Finish the tutorial and first stage of Adventure mode
- Gain access to the Axies and Team menu
- Click “Axie” on the home screen and press the sync button on the top right.
Tadaaa! Now players can freely sync and select the Axies that they wish to bring along for their Alpha testing in the new Sky Mavis Hub.
For Beginners: How To Get Free Axie (Starter Axies)
Step 1: Installation of Axie Infinity: Origin
• Download the Axie Infinity: Origin desktop app
Step 2: Create A New Sky Mavis Account
• Click “Register” on the Origin login screen
• Create a new ID and password
Step 3: Login and Play
• Login into your newly created account
• Complete Stage 1 in Adventure Mode get 3 starter Axies
More starter Axies can be acquired by progressing through the Adventure Mode. A
total of 5 starter Axies are available that beginners can get for free. However, these
starter Axies can never receive SLP or any other monetary rewards.
